Bluetooth Speaker
A retro-style fully powered bluetooth speaker made out of Cherry and Poplar.
My first attempt at speaker design, something that I have always been curious to learn more about. Box volume/dimensions, port size and depth, low-pass filter, driver, and amp are all custom designed to get the best sound possible out of a single speaker.
For its size, this speaker puts out an impressively rich and powerful sound.
Cherry faceplate with cutouts for speaker driver, port, power knob, and display lights.
One of my favorite results of this speaker is the grain wrapping. Poplar isn't usually a display wood, but I found a piece with great grain contrast
I did all of the soldering between the driver, amp, and low-pass filter as well as all of the rest of the wiring for the speaker. Nothing too complex, but it was good to refresh my soldering skills since it had been a few years.
